Rahman Dahlan slams Opposition for economic sabotage [VIDEO]

BATU PAHAT: Barisan Nasional has to draw the line when it comes to countering all the lies and false accusations made by the Oppositions in order to safeguard the future of the country.

BN strategic communication director Datuk Seri Abd Rahman Dahlan said the time has come for BN to tell the people that the Oppositions’ political approach is dangerous to the country.

“They have been saying that Malaysia is a failed state, which is a big lie. This is dangerous not only to BN but the people because this could jeopardised the future of the country,” said Rahman.

He said BN have never run away from facing the Opposition because BN is a government that has a clear vision for the development of the country and its people of various races.

“We have no problem explaining to the people matters like the 1Malaysia Development Bhd issue and the RM2.6 billion donation. Now we have to confront these lies.

“As the Oppositions, they know that if the economy continues to grow and the country continues to develop, the people would not support them. That is why they are making these false accusations about the economy,” said Rahman.

He said this in his speech at BN Ceramah Rakyat roadshow at Dataran Senggarang here.

Other speakers include Umno Supreme Council member and Batu Pahat division chief Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi, MCA vice president Datuk Chua Tee Yong, Johor Gerakan chief Datuk Teo Kok Chee, state MIC chief Datuk M. Asojan, and Johor People’s Progressive Party chairman Datuk Dr S. Sivakumar.

Rahman said the issue of the country’s economy is not about politics but about the future of the country and its people.

“Has anybody asked the Opposition about their policies regarding the economy, education or foreign relation? The Opposition’s dirty approach would only divide the people,” said Rahman

He said he realised that there are people who vote with their emotions but urged the people to check all the facts before believing the accusations made by the Opposition.

“You have to look at the big picture and choose a party that have a vision to continue developing the country for its people,” said Rahman.

Chua, meanwhile, lambasted the Opposition leaders who are not concerned about their own constituencies such as DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang who have abandoned Gelang Patah and his supporters.

“The people, especially the Chinese community, should realise that they have to select a leader that will be there for the constituents and would not abandon them, like what is happening in Gelang Patah,” he said.

Chua also ask the Johor people to believe in the ability of the BN government.

“Look at Johor. The state have recorded a surplus budget for seven consecutive years which is proof of the party’s ability,” said Chua.
