Six more 'Geng Pak Su' members charged with being involved in organised crime

ALOR STAR: Six men have been charged at the Sessions Court here with being involved with an organised crime group known as ‘Geng Pak Su’.

The men were accused of being members of the gang between Jan 1, 2015 and Oct 8 this year.

The defendants are Jamal Muhamad Syafian Jamaludin, 24, Mazlan Ahmad, 48, Akmal Firdaus Ahmad, 22, Mohd Shafiz Ibrahim, 29, Mohd Mizan Ismail, 39 and Mohd Azhar Muei, 20.

No plea was recorded.

They were separately charged before Judge Azman Abu Hassan under Section 130V(1) of the Penal Code (Act 574).

The men could face a maximum 20 years jail upon conviction.

Deputy public prosecutor Izhanudin Alias prosecuted while all the accused were unrepresented.

Azman did not grant bail to the accused as the case also falls under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012.

Since last month, a total of 24 ‘Geng Pak Su’ members have been charged with the same offence.

They include underworld gang leader Johari Ariffin, 35.
