ĶOTA BARU: Police are seeking a man to assist in investigations into the shocking murder of a couple and their 13-year-old son here yesterday.
Kelantan Criminal Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Fakri Che Sulaiman said they are looking for 31-year-old Sharat s/o Eh Wang @ Pot, from Kampung Jubakar Darat in Tumpat.
He said Sharat was an employee of the family.
"(We) are still investigating the motive behind the killing (but we) believe we will arrest the suspect soon," he said in a statement this morning.
In the incident at 2.30pm yesterday, the couple and their son were found brutally murdered in their home in Taman Bahagia near Wakaf Mek Zainab here.
The couple’s daughter survived, but is in critical condition in hospital.
The deceased have been identified as trader Kha Eng Ni, 42; his wife Chua Joo Seok, 37; and their son Kha Zee Hanz, 13.
The couple was found with stab wounds to their chests, while their son had been bashed on his head with a sharp object.
The couple's daughter, Kha Xing Ruu, 15, was also attacked and suffered serious head and bodily injuries.
It is believed that the victims were discovered just an hour after they were attacked.
