KUANTAN: Two police reports were lodged against a lawyer for allegedly insulting the prophet Muhammad on social media.
The reports lodged by Gerakan Belia 4B Kuantan chairman Mohd Jalaludin Fikri Jamal and its Cempaka chairman Ahmad Faizal Hazizan.
Both claimed they lodged the report here over fears of the post on Facebook by the lawyer may confuse Muslims in the country.
Jalaludin said the lawyer manipulated verses from the Quran including words or Hadith from the prophet.
"As a Muslim, she should not have done so as it could incite anger among readers and in the Islamic community nationwide," he said.
"I advise social media users not to upload such posts as it could twist the aqidah (Islamic faith) and trigger anger among Muslims,” Jalaludin said.
