ALOR STAR: A teacher with a Pusat Asuhan Tunas Islam (PASTI) was charged at a magistrate's court yesterday with voluntarily causing hurt to a six-year-old pupil at the kindergarten last year.
Nur Afiqah Mohamad Helmi, 18, pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to her before magistrate Noor Farah Hazwani Osman.
She was alleged to have committed the offence Pasti Al-Ajwad Taman Kemudi in Jalan Kuala Kedah here about 12.30pm on March 7 last year.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Rifaie Mohamed Riyaludin prosecuted while the accused was not represented.
Noor Farah set bail at RM1,500 with one surety and fixed Feb 12 for mention.
