Selangor MB asked to expose all documents and agreements related to Ijok land scandal

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has been challenged to expose all documents, agreements between land settlers and two companies that failed to develop the land, as well as the agreement between settlers and the competent developers the state government had chosen in the Ijok land scandal.

Faekah Husin, the special officer to former Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said there had been many statements in the form of attacks and sarcasm hurled at the latter but none of it stated facts that would give the true explanation on the controversial land matter.

"We question why was there an oversight on the state government's part, they had acted recklessly by halting the court action that was being taken against the developer although the High Court and Appeals Court were on the state government's side?

"Why did he (Mohamed Azmin) chose to enrich the two failed companies which were responsible for the current land mess in Ijok now? These two questions have gone unanswered until now," said Faekah in a statement today.

Faekah added that as a state administration, the PKR-led government must be firm and brave in implementing the laws and ensure the interest of the people was protested.

"We do not have to fear to go against or punish any parties that flouted the laws and violated the rights of the people and the state.

"If the state administration is fearful and does not take legal action, then there will be more brazen individuals who would dare to go against the law because they know the state government is weak and will bow down when pressured," she said.

Faekah also urged Mohamed Azmin to declassify all letters and related documents as well as expose to the people as they have the right to know the real situation of what is happening to their land.

She added that she was grateful that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission had begun looking into important documents and hoped a thorough investigations would be carried out if there are elements of abuse of power, graft or breach of trust in this case.
