Selangor cops want mother of 'missing' siblings to come forward

PETALING JAYA: Police are urging the biological mother of two children, reported to have been taken away from a kindergarten in Section 16 here on Thursday, to come forward and assist the case.

Selangor Criminal Investigations Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Fadzil Ahmat said checks showed the children were not kidnapped but were taken by their mother.

"There's no criminal element in this case and we urged the public to stop speculating on the matter.

"However, we want the woman to come forward immediately to explain herself,"

"Family matters should have been referred to the relevant agencies," he added.

It was earlier reported that Raheel Khan Mohd Saleem, 6, and his sister Aleeya Reyhana, 4, were allegedly taken away by a woman who came with two other men in a white MPV in the 9am incident.

Their disappearance were only discovered by the family in the afternoon when the aunt had gone to the kindergarten to fetch them.

A teacher had told her that a woman claiming to be their biological parent had taken them on the pretext of taking them for a medical check-up in the morning.
