KOTA BARU: A restaurant owner and his Thai worker were shot multiple times by a motorcyclist at Kok Lanas here early today.
Sources said the 35-year-old owner and the worker, in his 40s, were attacked at the F&B outlet at about 2.30am.
"According to a witness, two men on a motorcycle arrived at the restaurant, and (suddenly), one of them opened fire several times, hitting the two.
"The (assailants) fled the scene," the sources added.
It is learnt that several customers who were at the restaurant escaped unhurt.
Some of them helped rush the two men to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II (RPZII) hospital.
"The restaurant owner is in critical but stable condition; while the Thai man is being treated for his injuries at the same hospital," said the sources.
