Police looking for Indian national to assist investigation on the murder of Thai woman

KAJANG: Police is looking for an Indian national to assist investigation of a Thai woman who was murdered at a budget hotel in Batu 11 Cheras, on Feb 6.

Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said investigations showed that the 30-year-old man, Tanjinder Singh, was spotted at the scene.

"He was believed to be the last person seen together with the victim."

"Those with information are urged to contact the investigating officer at 019 665 5811 or lodge a report at the nearest police station," Ahmad Dzaffir told a press conference at the district police headquarters after the 211th Police Day ceremony.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

In the 2pm incident on Feb 6, the victim was found lying in a pool of blood by police who forced into the room at the budget hotel after she failed to check out.

Police found three slash wounds on her head.
