Jealousy main motive of woman's murder in Klang - Police [NSTTV]

SHAH ALAM: Police have revealed that the 26 year-old female victim and the 44 year-old suspect were lovers and the motive of the murder was jealousy.

Selangor Deputy chief commissioner Datuk Sasikala Devi Subramaniam said that the crime was committed in the suspect's car.

"The altercation between those two did not last long as they went straight into the suspect's car right after they had lunch," she told reporters at Selangor Police Headquarters here today.

She also said that the suspect did not have previous criminal record prior to the incident.

"Urine test was conducted but it turned out negative," she said.

Sasikala also said that the police will continue investigating the case and find out more details about the incident.

She also confirmed that, as of now, no surveillance footage was taken by the police around the crime scene.

"We will record a few statements from more witnesses," she added.

Yesterday, it was reported that a woman was found dead in a car with multiple stab wounds in Taman Chi Liung, Klang.

South Klang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong said police received a report from the public informing them that a man had stabbed a woman.

Following the report, he said a 44-year-old local man was detained to assist in the investigation of the case.

He said the investigation revealed that at 1.20pm yesterday, the 26-year-old local woman met the suspect at a restaurant and was stabbed near a car after they finished lunch.
