Bangladeshi ustaz nabbed for sexually abusing Selangor tahfiz students

KUALA LUMPUR: A group of tahfiz students were allegedly coerced into giving oral sex, kissing, and fondling their ‘ustaz’, supposedly as a means of improving their studies.

The ustaz, from Bangladesh, had allegedly used the same modus operandi on each of his victims before sexually abusing them at a madrasah in Taman Desa Anggerik, Serendah, Hulu Selangor.

The situation unraveled when a 15-year-old victim informed his father last Monday, after a year of enduring the ordeal.

A source said the student was first sodomised by the ustaz last June.

“In that incident, the ustaz went into the room and asked the boy to massage his feet while telling him that any student who massages him would be blessed and the act itself can help one excel in their studies.

“After the victim massaged his feet, he was ordered to lock the door before lying down. The roles were then reversed as the ustaz massaged the victim,” he said.

The source said the victim was ordered to lie down next to him to perform lewd acts before the boy was sodomised.

“Unable to withstand the abuse any longer, the victim finally notified his father before lodging a police report at the Serendah police station last Monday (March 26),” he said.

“The suspect, in his 30s, was arrested on the same day the victim and his father lodged the report.

“The suspect has been remanded for eight days to assist in the investigation,” said Hulu Selangor district police chief Lim Bak Phai.

He said the case would be investigated under Section 377C of the Penal Code for carnal intercourse against the order of nature on another person without the consent, or against the will.
