Unhappy with RM10 paid for sex services, transvestite flees with wallet

GEORGE TOWN: A man ended up becoming a victim of robbery when he sought sex services from a transvestite at a budget hotel along Penang Road on Monday.

He lodged a police report after the suspect fled with his wallet in the 9pm incident.

It is learnt that the 30-year-old victim had initially thought the suspect was a woman when he saw a photo but was disappointed when he found out he was a transvestite.

Northeast district police chief Assistant Commissioner Anuar Omar said the victim befriended the suspect through the WeChat application three weeks ago and subsequently arranged for a meeting at the budget hotel.

“While inside the room, the suspect gave the victim a blow job, and was paid RM10. Dissatisfied, the suspect snatched the victim’s wallet and took RM200,” he said.

Anuar said the suspect sought another RM50 from the victim but was told he had no more money with him.

“The suspect then said he would call his friends to disturb the victim before leaving.

“Fearing for his safety, the victim lodged a report,” he added.

Following the report, police arrested the 18-year-old suspect at a hair salon.

The case is investigated under Section 392 of the Penal Code.
