Police seize RM13,000 worth of drugs at a condo in Bandar Tun Razak

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested two drug distributors and seized various of drugs worth RM13,000 at a condominium in Bandar Tun Razak.

Cheras district police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Ghani Mohamad Ji said a 25-year-old businessman was arrested at the condominium’s parking space yesterday.

Following the arrest, police raided his condominium unit and nabbed his friend, who is also 25 years old, 10 minutes later.

“We found a packet of methamphetamine weighing 31 grammes and keys on the first suspect.

“He confessed that he kept drugs in his house, where we found a second suspect, a personal driver, who was sleeping in the unit during the raid,” he said in a statement today.

Abdul Ghani said an inspection at the condominium unit found 23 packets of methamphetamine weighing about 64.1grammes, 40 Erimin 5 pills, RM800 in cash and a Mercedes C200 car key.

“Checks in the car found another four methamphetamine packets weighing 50 grammes and two packets of drug powders. Drugs seized were worth about RM13,000.

“Also found in the Mercedes was an Assistant Superintendent police uniform with a ‘Muhd Nur’ name tag, senior police officer shoes and a police vest.

“The second suspect was believed have used the police uniform for extortion,” he said.

He said the men obtained their drugs supply from a man known as “Farid“ who was driving a black Perodua MyVi.

“The duo said they were in contact with Farid since five months ago.

They both tested positive for methamphetamine and checks showed that they don’t have any previous criminal records,” he said.

The men were remanded under Section 39B, Section 39A (2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 to facilitate investigations.
