KUALA LUMPUR: A man has been remanded for seven days from today for allegedly sexually assaulting his 10-year-old female student at a school in Ampang here last May.
The remand order was issued by Ampang Magistrate’s Court registrar Roslan Md Nor following an application by the police to detain the teacher, aged 53, for investigation under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
The teacher was arrested following a report lodged by the victim’s mother. — BERNAMA
