KUALA LUMPUR: A lorry driver who moved against traffic flow along the North-South Expressway before his heavy vehicle collided with another lorry on Sunday has been remanded for four days.

Hulu Selangor district police chief Superintendent Lim Bak Phai said the 37-year-old, who works for a medicine supplier company, is being held until Thursday under Section 42 (1) of the Road Transport Act for reckless driving.

Yesterday, Lim revealed that the man, who hails from Shah Alam, possesses no driving licence, has 64 unpaid summonses, and that there are 36 arrest warrants against him.

He also said that the suspect was once charged under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft.

The man drove against traffic for about 3km after exiting the Sungai Buaya toll plaza before his vehicle collided with another lorry at KM432, southbound, at about 9.15am.
