SEREMBAN: A charred body was found in a burnt car at Taman Jasper Jaya, near here, last night.
Negri Sembilan Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said the identity of the victim has yet to be ascertained.
He said the department received a call on the burning car, a Nissan Sentra, at 9.49pm and deployed eight personnel to the area.
"The car was parked at the road shoulder and the team immediately proceeded to control the blaze.
“The firemen only realised there was a body in the vehicle after putting out the fire completely,” he said.
Nearby residents, who contacted the department, were also unaware that there was someone in the car.
