SIBU: A woman has been detained after she allegedly stabbed the private parts of her husband’s girlfriend after being asked to have a threesome.
Sibu police chief Assistant Commissioner Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said in the 9pm incident last night, the 46-year-old suspect pretended to agree to a threesome before she stabbed the man’s girlfriend using a 22cm-long knife.
“In the incident at a rented room in Lorong Lajong, Jalan Brooke Drive, the suspect’s 28-year-old husband had invited his girlfriend, aged 34, to their home to discuss their three-way relationship.
“The three of them then agreed to have a threesome. However, when they were in the bedroom, the wife took the opportunity to stab the victim’s private parts. The husband only realised what was happening after he saw his wife running away,” he said.
Detailing further, Stanley said the husband then chase his wife after his girlfriend told him that she had been stabbed.
“The suspect was later caught and handed over to the police,” he said, adding that the suspect was angry when her husband brought the girlfriend home.
“We believe the motive was revenge as the suspect already knew about her husband’s affair for quite some time. The victim is reportedly stable after receiving treatment at Sibu Hospital despite suffering from massive blood loss,” said Stanley.
It was learnt that the victim is also married with four children. Her husband is working in a logging camp in Solomon.
The suspect and her husband have been together for seven years and they were married under local adat (traditions).
The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon.
