Apologise or face lawsuit, Sajat told [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: An individual by the name of Yusmiliati Mohamed Yusof has given entrepreneur Muhammad Sajad Kamaruzzaman or Nur Sajat 48 hours to issue a written and recorded apology or face a lawsuit.

The demand was to clear Yusmiliati's name who has been accused of being a liar following claims she had failed to manage Sajat's alleged gender change at the National Registration Department (NRD).

Yusmiliati when met said her intention was to help ease the matters pertaining to Sajat's change of gender but was rejected by the NRD for insufficient documents.

"I was accused of not doing my work as Sajat paid me a sum of money. Following that, through Sajat's assistant Ashaari Maznan, a police report was lodged against me.

"Because of the report, I was remanded for four days at the Ampang police station and investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code. Now I have to go to court for cheating after I pleaded not guilty to the charge," she said at a press conference today.

Also present at the press conference were her lawyers Ahmad Faiq Azizan and Mohd Amirul Ramli.

Yusmiliati said she got to know Sajat through a friend in June 2017.

"I offered to help get Sajat's gender changed on Sajat's identification card.

"After several times, Sajat failed to provide a doctor's authorisation document confirming Sajat is a hermaphrodite," Yusmiliati said.

Yusmiliati stressed she would not hesitate to take the matter to court if Sajat failed to apologise.
