Hunt on for man who raped teen daughter 3 times a week

KAJANG: Police have launched a manhunt for a 39-year-old man who was alleged to have raped his 13-year-old daughter multiple times.

The man is believed to have fled their home after getting wind that his daughter had lodged a police report.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said, in her report, the girl claimed her father had been molesting her since she was 7.

"When the girl turned 13, the father became more brazen and began to rape her, sometimes as much as three times a week.

"The father threatened her into silence by saying if her mother found out, he would beat up the mother," he said.

Unable to stand her father's sexual assaults any longer, the girl confided in one of her teachers.

Dzaffir said the teacher took the girl to lodge a report about 5.30pm on Thursday.

He said the girl was sent to hospital for a medical check-up where it was confirmed that she had been raped.

"The victim was warded for further treatment after the check-up," he said.

Dzaffir said police were now looking for one Syaharol Adli Mohd Hasan, whom they believe could shed some light on the case.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the nearest police station or investigating officer Inspector Noorlaila Kairudin at 019-2299906.
