Bangladeshi man found hacked to death in car in Segambut

KUALA LUMPUR: A Bangladeshi man in his early 30s was found hacked to death in the driver's seat of a car in Segambut Bahagia, Sunday morning.

City police chief Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim said the man had slash wounds to his face, arms and abdomen.

He said patrol policemen were despatched to the scene upon receipt of a report at 9.12am of a fight taking place.

They found the victim, he said, in the driver's seat of a Toyota at Jalan Kelapa Muda.

"A forensics unit team was also despatched to the scene. The victim's body was later sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem examination," he added.

Mazlan said investigations are still ongoing to identify the culprit as well as establish motive behind the killing.

He said the case has been classified as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Those with information on the case are urged to contact senior investigating officer Assistant Superintendent Azrizal Khairul at 019-2769117, the city police hotline at 03-21469999 or any police station.
