OCS, another cop nabbed for taking RM6,000 bribe during MCO

KUALA LUMPUR: An Officer In Charge of the Station (OCS) and a policeman in Melaka have been detained for allegedly taking bribes during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

Is was learnt that the two police personnel had asked RM6,000 from a business owner as inducement not to slap him with compound for violating the MCO.

"The policemen were detained yesterday at the station. Seized during the raid was RM6,000 in cash." said a source.

Meanwhile, Melaka Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission director confirmed the matter but declined to elaborate.

Both of them had been taken to the Melaka magistrate's court for remand.
