Two men caught for possessing firearms, bullets and drugs [NSTTV]

PASIR MAS: Police detained two men for possessing two guns, live bullets and drugs in separate operations here recently.

The two including a 38-year-old drug pusher, were arrested at Kampung Gual Sitok and Panglima Batu Karang housing area on Monday and yesterday.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Shafien Mamat said the first man was detained in the raid at Kampung Gual Sitok on Monday.

"A General Operations Force (GOF) team raided the house about 6.30pm following tip-offs.

"After searching the house, they discovered a pump gun, 17gm of syabu, 140 pills and 67 marbles.

"The GOF members later detained the 37-year-old suspect," he told a Press conference at the district police station today.

Also present were Kelantan Criminal Investigation sDepartment chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Khairuddin Wan Idris and Pasir Mas police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif.

In the second raid yesterday, Shafien said police detained the drug pusher in front of a house at the housing area about 10.45am.

"In the raid, police seized eight live bullets and some drugs," he said.

He added that initial investigations showed that the pump gun was used to hunt wild boars.

"While the gun which was bought from the neighbouring country, is believed to be used for drug activities," he said.

Shafien said both men have previous records, and been remanded to assist police investigations into the cases.
