KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested a cosmetics company founder to assist investigations into a viral video allegedly featuring him kissing a young boy on the lips.
Bukit Aman Sexual, Women and Child Investigations Division (D11) principal assistant director Assistant Commissioner Siti Kamsiah Hassan confirmed the man is now in police custody.
"We have opened an investigation paper on the matter after receiving a report on the issue.
"He was detained yesterday and police are in the process of recording his statement." she told Berita Harian today.
It was reported recently that a video showing a man kissing a boy on the lips had gone viral on social media.
It was later revealed that the man was believed to be a founder of a cosmetics company who had uploaded several videos on his TikTok account, which had since been deactivated.
