PASIR MAS: The General Operations Force (GOF) seized vape liquid and cartridges valued at more than RM220,000 in a raid here yesterday.
However, no arrests were made in the 2.30am operation in Kampung Limau Purut.
GOF Ninth battalion commanding officer Superintendent Nor Azizan Yusof said the raid was carried out at a house in the village following tips-offs.
"A GOF team went to the house after receiving information on smuggling activities being held at the house.
"Upon raiding the place, they found 1,350 units of vape liquid and 1,450 units of cartridges," he said.
Nor Azizan said initial investigations showed the house was used by smugglers as a transit point to store the vape liquid before it was sent across the border.
"We believe the vape liquid will be sent to a neighbouring country via an illegal jetty which is located close to the house.
"We also suspect the items received high demand from suppliers in Thailand," he said.
He said the seized items were handed over to the state health department for further action.
