Johor GLC lodges police report against Muda for trespassing

JOHOR BARU: A state government-linked company, PIJ Holdings Sdn Bhd, has lodged a police report against the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) for trespassing.

In a statement today, PIJ Holdings said Muda was using its subsidiary, Inkubator Usahawan's site located in Taman Perbadanan Islam in Stulang Baru here as an operation centre.

According to the company, Inkubator Usahawan was established to assist young entrepreneurs to start their businesses.

"It is not intended as an operation centre for any political party.

"We regret that the premises is not being used for its original purpose and what's more upsetting is that the asset was used without our knowledge and there was no mutual agreement signed between PIJ Holdings and Muda," the statement read.

The company revealed that the premises had been leased to a person to carry out a teak furniture business and that the person was prohibited from renting the space to others.

"We call on Muda to vacate and return the premises to us in its original condition.

"In order to ensure the facilities can be fully utilised by entrepreneurs around Johor Baru, we hope that this issue can be resolved amicably and immediately."

Muda has yet to respond to media queries on this matter.
