KAJANG: Community Communications (J-KOM) Department staff Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani has made a police report at the Kajang police station, today.
Abdul Wahab and his lawyer Faizal Abd Rahman arrived at the police station at around 11am.
He had reportedly filed a police report at the Kajang police station before being seen leaving the station at 12.57pm.
Abdul Wahab and his lawyer were later seen heading to the Kajang district Police Headquarters investigating officer's room for their statements to be recorded.
As of now, the investigation process is still being carried out at the Kajang district police Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
However, the details regarding the police report made by Abdul Wahab have yet to be ascertained.
Abdul Wahab's lawyer also informed that he would provide details regarding their presence at the district police headquarters to reporters once the investigation process is complete.
Yesterday, his lawyer confirmed that Abdul Wahab came to the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman to record his statement regarding the defamation case involving the former J-KOM director-general, Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff.
Meanwhile, CID director, Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zaid was quoted as saying that his party had recorded the conversations of three individuals in the case.
The three individuals were Agus, Mr H and an employee of a hotel where the press conference between Agus and Abdul Wahab was held.
He said the investigation was carried out in accordance with Section 500 of the Penal Code for the offence of defamation and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act, which is improper use of network facilities and network services.
Agus had earlier resigned as J-KOM director-general claiming that the video of the conversation involving him was doctored by irresponsible parties.
At a special press conference regarding the issue, the J-KOM officer linked to the viral video, Wahab claimed that he was made a scapegoat to bring down Agus by an individual named Mr H.
