BALING: More than 800 reports have been lodged over damage to houses during the massive floods that inundated 12 villages in Kupang on Monday.
Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said of the 802 reports lodged, 15 houses were total losses while 18 were badly damaged.
"The district Disaster Operation Control Centre will carry out the survey with the help of village heads and the Village Development and Security Committee before finalising the figure.
"We will repair houses that can still be repaired, and houses in risky locations will be relocated," he said in a statement today.
On Monday, 12 villages in Kupang here were inundated by floods triggered by a water surge, claiming three lives in a family, including a pregnant woman.
