Molotov cocktails thrown into house damages three vehicles

SEREMBAN: Three vehicles were damaged when Molotov cocktails were thrown into a house in Taman Bukit Kaya here on Friday.

Wong Kai Hong, 37, claimed that a Singaporean Ah Long (loan shark) was responsible for the 3.30am incident.

He said his brother, who's working in Singapore, had a loan with the Ah Long.

He said the incident had shocked his mother, mother-in-law and his seven-month- old son, who were all at home at the time.

"I was sleeping in my room upstairs when it happened. I saw a fire and rushed downstairs to see what was happening.

"The fire spread so fast due to the petrol. We got out quickly."

He said firefighters had found a warning note believed to be from the Ah Long.

"The note said this was a warning and asked the reader to call a number in the note.

"I was confused at first. A cousin then told me that he had also received a message on Facebook, believed to be from an Ah Long, who also sent my brother's picture with the message."

Wong then found out that his brother, had borrowed $S450 on Oct 11, but had paid RM3,000 two days later.

"We do not know how the loan shark had our information and address in Malaysia, as well as our cousin's information. My cousin told me that my brother still has to repay RM45,000.

"We are living in fear as they (Ah Long) are daring enough to make threats at our home, even when there are children and elderly people living with us.

"I am now staying at a relative's house and am unable to work," said Wong, an e-hailing driver.
