KOTA BARU: Thai police have arrested a man for possessing 100 yaba pills, in an operation last night.
Sungai Golok police chief Colonel Pratya Baite said the 24-year-old suspect was picked up near a mosque in the town.
"A Thai police team spotted the man acting suspiciously during on a normal patrol in the area about 10.45pm.
"After a check, they found the pills in a small plastic packet and then nabbed the man," he said in a statement.
He said police believed he was a drug pusher and the pills were for local distribution.
"Police are still waiting for the result of the urine test," he added.
