Gombak police pursuing two men involved in car break-in incident

GOMBAK: Police are actively pursuing two suspects involved in a car break-in incident that occurred on Jalan Desa 5, Desa Jaya, here, on Nov 14.

Gombak acting police chief Superintendent Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir stated that a report was lodged regarding the incident at 9.15am last Tuesday.

"According to the 25-year-old victim, the incident occurred while she was on her way to work. Two men on a motorcycle approached her car.

"The pillion rider then smashed the front window of her car and snatched her crossbody bag before fleeing the scene," he said in a statement today.

Although she did not sustain any injuries, her valuables were taken by the robbers.

"Efforts to track down the suspects are actively underway and the case is being investigated under Section 395 of the Penal Code for gang robbery.

The incident came to light after a 40-second video, showing two men on a motorcycle breaking a car window, went viral on social media.
