Police: 540 units at Idaman Apartment have been inspected

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have so far checked 540 units of houses in three residential blocks at Idaman Apartment, Damansara Damai to facilitate investigations in the murder of six-year-old Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abd Hamid said the apartment complex has a total of 2,484 units in 18 blocks.

The case has been classified as murder after a post-mortem revealed injuries on the autistic child's neck and body. His body was found on Wednesday night, which was more than a day after he went missing after returning home from school.

"The investigation is still ongoing by inspecting the drainage near Idaman Apartment, Damansara Damai, here, which is near the location where the victim was found," he said when contacted today.

Fakhrudin said investigations also involved the forensic teams from the Selangor police headquarters and district Criminal Investigation Division.
