Meth found in wife's bra; couple nabbed

PASIR MAS: A married couple were arrested after 2,280 methamphetamine pills were found stuffed in the wife's bra in Kampung Bunut Susu, here, last Thursday.

Some 3.9g of cannabis was also found in the husband's pants pocket.

The total value of the drugs was estimated at RM25,110.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhammad Zaki Harun said the suspects, aged 26 and 27, were detained at 6.30pm after an inspection revealed the methamphetamine pills, known locally as "pil kuda" or "yaba" pills, in green plastic packages.

"Preliminary investigation of the male suspect uncovered marijuana in his pants pocket and a urine test confirmed the presence of methamphetamine drugs in his system.

"The couple has been remanded for seven days, from Jan 26 to Feb 1 for further investigation," he told reporters after conferring police bravery medals here.

Zaki said the case was being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for trafficking.
