"The report was received from a member of the public at 9.45am.

"Police investigations revealed that the deceased was a 56-year-old woman who was living with her husband and son, who is the suspect in the case.

"It was found that the deceased had a disagreement with the suspect, during which the suspect assaulted her using a pair of safety boots and an iron rod before fleeing," he said.
