SERI ALAM: Police have arrested three suspects for the alleged abduction and assault of a 17-year old in Kota Masai in Pasir Gudang here on Friday.
Three suspects aged between 15 and 37, were arrested in several housing estates in Kota Masai yesterday.
Police are hunting down several more suspects.
One of the three suspects had 26 previous criminal and drug-related records. He also tested positive for methamphetamine.
Police declined to reveal the 15-year-old boy's involvement in the abduction and assault.
District police chief Superintendent Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said based on a now- deleted post uploaded on Facebook, the alleged abduction occurred at 5pm.
The video depicted the teenager violently hit with a helmet before being he was forcibly dragged into the trunk of a grey Proton Satria, before it sped away.
Mohd Sohaimi said preliminary investigations revealed that after the teenager was bundled into the Staria's truck, he was then taken to a house nearby.
He was assaulted repeatedly with a baton and other objects, and suffered bruising on his right cheek, neck, shoulders, back and bleeding from his left ear.
Mohd Sohaimi said investigations are underway to establish the motive of the abduction and assault, while several more suspects are expected to be picked up.
He added police are pursuing the case under several sections of the penal code, including Section 363 for kidnapping, Section 148 for possession of weapons, and Section 324 for causing injuries with weapons.
