PASIR MAS: Three men with several drug and crime records were arrested in a high speed chase with police at Kampung Kedondong here on Wednesday night.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Kama Azural Mohamed said a police patrol car had spotted a Perodua Kancil with the three men inside, in the Meranti area at about 7.35pm.
"The police patrol car was conducting its normal survelliance at the area when they spotted the car with three men inside, parked at the road shoulder.
"Seeing the police approaching them, the car driver sped off towards the village area. Police then gave chase.
"In the high speed chase, the car driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed the car into a house.
"One of the three suspects tried to escape into the nearby bushes but was apprehended later together with the other two," he said in a statement.
Kama Azural said initial investigations showed that the trio have a few crime records including for drugs.
He added the three, aged 36 and 41, have been remanded to assist the investigation into the case.
The case is being investigated under Section 186 of Penal Code for obstructing a civil servant in the discharge of his public functions.
