KLIA shooting suspect to be brought to KL today 

KUALA LUMPUR: The suspect in Sunday's shooting at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) will be brought to Kuala Lumpur today for further investigation.

It is believed that the suspect, Hafizul Harawi, 38, will be brought to the Air Operation Force (PGU) Base in Petaling Jaya at 2pm.

The suspect was arrested in Kota Baru at around 3pm, yesterday.

Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, who confirmed the arrest, said that the suspect was detained in Kota Baru, Kelantan.

Meanwhile,  Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, said police are expected to present the suspect at the Kota Baru court this morning in order to obtain a remand order.

In the incident at 1.30am on Sunday, the suspect fired two shots, one of which struck his wife's bodyguard.

The victim is currently receiving treatment at a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
