KUALA LUMPUR: All cabinet ministers will be assigned daily to announce policies and programs planned under the Madani Economy framework, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.
He said this is because the economic framework will serve as the foundation for several other specific policies scheduled to be announced in the coming months.
"Previously, the Minister of Economy Rafizi Ramli announced the National Energy Transition Direction plan (in line with the Madani Economy framework) ... and in the coming weeks, the government will announce the Industrial Master Plan.
"Following that, the midterm review of the Twelfth Malaysia Plan will be conducted and only in October will there be an announcement regarding the second Madani budget," he said in his keynote address at the National Tax Conference 2023 held here today.
Also present were the chief executive officer of the Inland Revenue Board, Datuk Dr Mohd Nizom Sairi and the president of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM), Chow Chee Yen. –BERNAMA
