TAIPING: A 20-year-old man died on the spot and his 50-year-old father seriously injured when the car they were traveling in was involved in an accident near Taman Hijrah in Batu Kurau here today.
In the 5.30pm incident, the son is believed to have lost control of his vehicle. The car started spinning before ramming into the road divider.
Kamunting Fire and Rescue Department operation chief Wan Abu Osman Ibrahim said the department was alerted to the incident at 5.45pm.
“When we arrived at the scene, one of the victims was found trapped underneath the car and was killed on the spot. Another victim was rescued by passers-by.
“Both the father and son were taken to the Taiping Hospital,” he said when contacted today.
