Scuffle breaks out between David Teo and comedian at TN50 event [video]

PUTRAJAYA: A minor scuffle which saw comedian Sulaiman Yassin slapping film director Datuk David Teo in front of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, ended peacefully when both parties made their peace.

Sulaiman, better known as 'Mat Over' and Teo, shook hands and hugged, witnessed by the prime minister and Datuk Rosyam Nor, who was the moderator for a National Transformation (TN50) programme dialogue session at Seri Perdana.

The incident was sparked when Teo appeared to question the manner in which Rosyam handled the session, and claimed that Rosyam was not giving an equal chance for everyone to voice their views.

The programme, aired live on Facebook, saw Rosyam chide Teo, who was deemed as being disrespectful towards the prime minister.

Rosyam then gave way to Teo to air his thoughts, and the film director began to recite a poem.

However, before Teo could finish, Sulaiman appeared on the scene and slapped Teo.

The spontaneous incident was immediately brought under control by the security team, and both men were escorted out of the venue.

The video of the incident subsequently went viral.

Rosyam and Najib then continued the dialogue session.

The session was participated by a veritable who's who of the local entertainment industry, who were invited to share their views on the future of the nation as it heads towards 2050.
