KUALA PILAH: A woman was killed and six others, including a child sustained injuries in an accident at Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah near Kampung Ulu Bendul, Kuala Pilah here, this afternoon.
In the 3pm incident, the six injured victims in a Proton Persona were on their way from Seremban to Kuala Pilah when their vehicle collided with a lorry coming from the from opposite side.
Seremban Fire and Rescue Department chief, Mohamad Idris said, three Fire and Rescue Department tenders were rushed to the scene as soon as they received the emergency call.
"When we arrived, four of the victims from the car had been brought out from the car by the public and were sent to Tuanku Ampuan Najihah hospital in Kuala Pilah for treatment.
"We took about 20 minutes to extricate the car's driver and another passenger, a woman, who was pinned in the back seat, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mohammad said, the identity of all victims have yet to be ascertained and the case will be handed over to the police for further investigation.
