JOHOR BARU: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi joined a congregation of about 2,000 people at the Masjid Sultan Iskandar in Bandar Dato Onn tonight for Isyak and tarawih prayers.
He was joined by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed and state Housing and Local Government Executive Committee chairman Datuk Md Jais Sarday.
The prayers were led by imam Abdullah Embong.
Zahid then presented cash aid of RM300 each to some 250 'asnaf' (eligible recipients) before he joined the congregation for 'moreh'.
