ALOR STAR: A double-storey house at Kampung Batu 3, Tandop near here was destroyed in a fire at 7.45pm today.
Also razed by fire was a Nissan Frontier truck parked near the house.
Jalan Raja Fire and Rescue Department chief Mohd Firdaus Md Isa said the fire started at one of the upper floor rooms before spreading throughout the house.
He said his team received a call at 7.50pm.
“Our team arrived eight minutes later and managed to put out the fire by 8.26pm.
“No one was injured in the incident as all six occupants of the house managed run to safety.” he said.
Losses was estimated to be about RM185,000.
The cause of fire is still being investigated.
