Medical reports confirm 2 girls raped by brother

ALOR STAR: Police confirmed only two of three sisters allegedly raped by their elder brother were victims of the crime.

A preliminary report finding was made after medical examination was conducted on the girls aged 8, 9 and 14, at Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Sungai Petani.

However, there was no confirmation whether the tears on the two girls’ private parts were old or new.

Kedah Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Mior Farid Al Athrash Wahid said police were still waiting for the full medical examination report on the three girls.

“Tears were found on the 8-year-old and 14-year-old.

“There was no evidence to indicate the 9-year-old was also raped,” he said.

Asked if police were investigating the possibility that the 9-year-old was molested, Mior Farid said they were not ruling out the possibility.

He said the girls were warded.

On Saturday, police obtained a week-long remand order against the teen beginning the same day.

He was arrested following claims by his 8-year-old sister that he had raped her in the vacant house adjacent to their home about 8pm on Wednesday.

Investigators were also probing into claims by the two other sisters that they had also been raped by their brother.

The victim’s father told the New Sunday Times that he was torn between his love for his three daughters and the son, whom he described as a caring brother who didn’t do drugs or smoke.

Admitting that he was caught off-guard by what happened, he said he would leave it to the police to investigate.
