RapidKL turns to Facebook to highlight poor conduct of commuters

KUALA LUMPUR: RapidKL has highlighted several poor conducts shown by commuters who are using their rail services on their Facebook page.

In series of posts, which started on Wednesday, the company reminded commuters of the dos and don’ts when they are in the train.

In one of the posts, a man is seen using the handrails in the train as gym pull-up bars.

“These handlebars may be tempting for you to do chin-ups but bro, keep the gym workout at the gym,” RapidKL said.

In next post, a passenger is seen occupying two seats with his legs stretched out.

“Please refrain from putting your legs up on the seat for the comfort of all. Be an exemplary commuter who followed all rules when using public transport. You are our hero.”

RapidKl also reminded passengers not to eat and drink on the trains as it is prohibited.

Another post uploaded on Wednesday depicted a passenger eating ice cream.

“One act of random kindness can change your day. Everybody wants CLEAN public transport, that’s why we don’t allow drinking and eating onboard,” the post said.

Another example given was a group of teenage girl drinking from plastic cups on the train.

RapidKL also advised its passengers not to place plastic bags on the seat.

“To our beloved passengers (if you are still unaware), plastic bags do not need a special seat on the train. Do give the unoccupied seats to those who need it,” it said.

In its latest post, uploaded today, it carries a photo of a slice of bread stuff between the seats.

“We know what you did last Raya. But honey, our seats are warriors. They don't need any food/roti to survive,” RapidKL said.
