Mother sleepless over missing teenage daughter and grandson

SEREMBAN: A 37-year-old mother as not slept since her 17-year-old-daughter and grandson went missing on Monday.

Nor Zalida Mohd Alias, a mother of four, said her eldest daughter Intan Nur Anisa Abdullah had left their house at Taman Marida Senawang here with her two-year-old son, Muhammad Arqam Mustaqim Abdullah, about 1.40pm, while she was away to fetch her other children from school.

“My neighbour saw my daughter leaving the house with my grandson. I am worried sick about them, especially my grandson, who suffers from anaemia and severe food allergies,” said Zalida.

She said her daughter had wanted to find a job but she was against the idea.

“I wanted to protect her from being involved in unhealthy activities. She rejected my objection and I believe that is why she left the house,” she said.

She said she wasn’t aware if her daughter had any boyfriends who might have influenced her to leave the house.

“I’m not aware if she has any boyfriends. She never told me anything.

“I can’t sleep at night thinking about my daughter and grandson. She is still young and my grandson is not that well. I am begging her to come home ," said Zalida, bursting into tears.

She said two police reports had been lodged at Senawang police station and Seremban 2 district police headquarters on Aug 8.

“I contacted all my daughter’s friends but they told me they have no information about my daughter. Family members and relatives too have tried to look for her,” she said.
