KUALA LUMPUR: Heavy rain this morning led to traffic congestion on several roads in Selangor as well as those heading towards the KL city centre.
PLUS Malaysia Berhad, via its Twitter handle @plustrafik, reported that traffic was slow after the Sungai Besi toll heading towards the city centre.
It also reported that the congestion was made worse by an accident which happened near Jalan Istana.
As of 11am, heavy congestion was still in effect along the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) from Shah Alam to Damansara.
Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM)'s Twitter feed reported slow traffic from Kota Kemuning to Seafield and from Bukit Jalil to the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2).
It also reported a similar crawl from Puchong Utama to Federal Highway Route 2 (FHR), Kelana Jaya to SS2, as well as from Penchala to Bandar Utama.
