JOHOR BARU: An officer and six police personnel who were allegedly caught on video ‘having fun’ at an entertainment centre in Muar near here are to be transferred to other departments with immediate effect.
Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said disciplinary action was taken on the policemen after PDRM received information about the incident.
"The PDRM cannot compromise on any disciplinary breach, and will act sternly on those involved,” he said in a statement here today.
Mohd Khalil said all police officers and personnel must live up to the integrity required of them in upholding PDRM’s image as the country’s main law enforcers.
Mohd Khalil was commenting on a nine-second video which went viral on Facebook, allegedly showing the policemen, believed to be from Unit D7, Muar District Police headquarters, ‘having fun’ at an entertainment centre at Pusat Perniagaan Bakri, Muar.
