KUALA LUMPUR: A man was arrested after he was alleged to have sexually abused his stepdaughter on Tuesday.
The 14-year-old victim from Taman Seri Pulai, Balakong had told her mother that the stepfather aged 35 had kissed her and touched her breasts and private part when the mother was not at home.
Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the following day, the stepfather had hit the victim and kicked her on the chest when he found out that the victim had told the mother about what he did.
The mother subsequently lodged a police report.
“The man was arrested today and police had obtained a remand order until Saturday to facilitate investigation,” he said.
