Volkswagen, Nissan offer flood relief to affected customers

KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPMC) and Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) today announced the launch of their respective flood relief programmes for Volkswagen and Nissan owners whose vehicles were affected by the recent flood in the northern states of Peninsular Malaysia.

In a statement today, VPMC said the company was offering a 30 per cent discount on the total invoice for repairs inclusive of parts and labour costs.

“We hope our contribution will provide some respite to our customers and relieve their burden,” VOMV Managing Director Erik Winter said, adding that the programme would run until Feb 28, 2018.

He urged affected customers to send their vehicles to the nearest Volkswagen service centre for assessment and repair.

In a separate statement, ETCM and Tan Chong Ekspres Auto Servis Centre (TCEAS) announced the ‘Nissan Flood Relief’ programme for Nissan vehicle owners.

Under the programme, it said both ETCM and TCEAS offered a 20 per cent discount on spare parts and labour charges, a special price of RM1,325 onwards for upholstery restoration and a three-month warranty on labour and genuine parts replacement.

“We urge our customers to send their vehicles to the nearest TCEAS service centre as soon as possible and pledge to do what we can to help alleviate their distress,” said TCEAS Head of Business Unit Michael Yao.

Customers can contact ETCM’s Nissan Customer Care Centre at 1800-88-3838 for more information on the relief programme. — BERNAMA
