Its chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad said the programme which will be extended to East Malaysia, showed the graft buster continuous commitment in fighting corruption and power abuse.

"We also want bring the message of the danger of corruption and power abuse and the consequences if one is involved in such activities through this programme," he added.

He said the Kejar 2018 will be a continuation of Kejar 2017, which kicked off on Sept 18, which saw 135 MACC officers riding 40 motorcycles across Peninsular Malaysia in 13 days, covering 2,000km.

"The programme is also aimed at building rapport with the people, raising awareness, and spreading anti-graft messages to the local community in each state.

"I must say that Kejar 2017 has achieved remarkable and extraordinary success in reaching out to the people and I believe they will continue to make the agency proud," he said on Monday.

Dzulkifli was met at the Kejar 2017 Appreciation Dinner and the 50th anniversary of MACC.

He also presented certificates of appreciation to its officers, various governmental, state agencies, non-governmental organisations, and media organisations which have been instrumental in fighting graft.

"The appreciation dinner tonight is to give recognition to the contribution extended by various parties in helping and supporting the agency directly or indirectly," he added.
